Abuse, Neglect, Delinquency, Mental Health
Wedgwood offers secure residential treatment for male and female youth between the ages of 8 and 17 who have experienced abuse and/or neglect, who are in the juvenile delinquency system, or who have significant mental health concerns. These youth may be referred due to aggression, self-destructive behavior, running behavior, defiance of authority, self-harming or other high risk behaviors.
Youth are typically referred to Wedgwood by caseworkers from the Department of Human Services, Juvenile Courts, Community Mental Health agencies, or the Adoption Subsidy program. The youth are provided with a high staff-to-client ratio and on campus schooling. There is one home for young boys ages 8 to 12, two homes for boys ages 12 to 18 and one home for girls ages 12 to 18.
