Wedgwood's Specialized Foster Care and Independent Living services offer comprehensive, person-centered treatment for youth dealing with emotional impairments, delinquent backgrounds,  mental illness, and/or substance abuse issues  and are unable to live with their own families. Youth are carefully matched with highly trained, loving foster families who meet  Wedgwood’s standards for excellence and Christian compassion.

Our programs include intensive case management and treatment services; individual and family counseling for those in foster care; coordination of medical, dental and psychiatric services; educational support, pre-vocational, and life skills screening/training.

Independent Living Programs. Wedgwood offers Independent Living services for youth 16-18 years of age. The program provides assistance for youth who need support in order to become emotionally established as productive, responsible members of the community. Youth live with qualified, trained families or single adults who offer room and board and a positive, nurturing environment. They must attend school, be employed, or participate in vocational training while honoring the terms of their housing contract with their home provider. Young people who have achieved a higher level of self-sufficiency and maturity may move into their own apartment with decreasing levels of support.
