Wedgwood Announces Senior Leadership Promotions

Wedgwood Christian Services is pleased to announce the promotions of Dawn Harvey and Pastor LeRae Kuperus.

Dawn Harvey has been named Wedgwood’s first Chief Program Officer. The Chief Program Officer oversees the leadership, strategic planning, and development of Wedgwood’s Community and Residential programs. A long-time Wedgwood employee, Harvey has served in several roles at the agency, most recently Director of Residential and Community Services. She earned her Bachelors of Social Work from Calvin University and is a licensed social worker with the State of Michigan.

“I am honored and blessed to be able to serve alongside amazing co-workers who demonstrate the love of Christ to children, adults, and families,” said Harvey.

“Throughout her accomplished tenure at Wedgwood, Dawn has led by example, extending God’s love through a caring and compassionate heart,” said Dan Gowdy, Wedgwood’s President /CEO. “We are grateful she chooses to use her God-given gifts to serve Wedgwood’s mission.”

Pastor LeRae Kuperus has been named Wedgwood’s first Chief Officer of Mission Integration and Spiritual Formation. This position oversees the leadership, strategic planning, and development of the agency’s Chaplaincy, Diversity, Transforming Services, and Care for the Caregiver teams. She joined Wedgwood in 1998 as a Chaplain and most recently served as the Director of Spiritual Formation. Kuperus is ordained by the CRCNA with a full chaplaincy endorsement and has a certification in Crisis Intervention Stress Management (CISM). She earned her Bachelors of Religion and Sociology from Calvin University and her Masters of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary.

“There is no place I’d rather be,” said Kuperus. “To love is to serve, and Wedgwood’s mission aligns with my daily response to love God by loving my neighbor. It gives me great joy to work at Wedgwood.”

“LeRae is a wonderful example of a servant-leader,” said Gowdy. “She has been a consistent source of Godly strength, wisdom, and encouragement to many staff and those we serve. LeRae has been a strong proponent of staff training and development. Her concern for others and heart to serve are inspiring.”

These promotions reflect leadership and structural changes within the agency over the last several months.
