Wedgwood’s passion for and expertise in serving children and youth is the motivation behind the creation of Wedgwood Institute: Lifelong Learning. Our goal is to equip individuals with the knowledge, attitude, and skills to bring wholeness and healing to children and youth.
Educational and training curricula have been developed by a team of Wedgwood’s Masters and Bachelors level professionals to provide cutting-edge programming and effective treatment services. The Institute coordinates training sessions that bring regional, statewide and national experts in various treatment disciplines to Wedgwood to further enhance professional development.
At this time, the Wedgwood Institute is primarily focused on providing internal training and educational opportunities for current Wedgwood employees.
The Wedgwood Institute covers are a wide range of topics, including agency training and onboarding, clinical expertise and practices, and community outreach. Topics such as self-care, trauma-informed care, crisis de-escalation, and Substance Use Disorder have been more important than ever. Wedgwood continually seeks opportunities for ongoing training and communicates those opportunities to staff.
