Chaplaincy Adds Youth Ministry Leader
At Wedgwood, optional Chaplaincy Programs are a key part of our Residential Care. Chaplaincy and Youth Ministry at Wedgwood create an atmosphere that fosters a desire to grow in God’s love. To continue to meet the emotional and spiritual needs of both the kids who rely on Wedgwood and our dedicated staff members, Steve Carigon has joined the Chaplaincy Team as a Youth Ministry Leader! He’ll now be splitting Chaplaincy time with his Positive Youth Development role!
“It brings me great joy to be a part of Wedgwood’s Chaplaincy program. I love the kids who call Wedgwood home and the staff who provide life-changing care very much. My goal is to create a youth ministry here at Wedgwood where kids feel valued, heard, have fun, and learn about how deeply their Heavenly Father loves them. Through an engaging youth ministry here my hope is that when kids transition out of Wedgwood’s care, they want to be part of something like they experienced here. When they leave, I want them to know that God is going with them, that wherever they go God is already there. We strive to connect them with them spiritual resources while they are with us here at Wedgwood, and help identify spiritual resources for when they leave our care.”
Introducing kids to, and being living examples of, God’s healing love and hope is at the core of what Wedgwood Christian Services and our 100% donor-funded Chaplaincy Programs are all about. In his new role, Steve will grow and create fun, meaningful Youth Ministry opportunities for the kids in Wedgwood’s Residential Care! We’re excited to see continued growth at Wedgwood.
