Nonprofit names new Chief Advancement Officer

Wedgwood Christian Services has hired Brooke Jevicks as the organization’s new Chief Advancement Officer.

“Our community is on the verge of the greatest mental health crisis in our lifetime.  The ongoing pandemic continues to wreak havoc on young hearts and minds,” said Dr. Dan Gowdy, Chief Executive Officer & President of Wedgwood Christian Services. “Brooke has the experience, skills, and passion to help Wedgwood grow as the need for Wedgwood professionally excellent, grace-filled care continues to grow.”

Jevicks joins the Advancement Team after a 5-year tenure has the Development Director at Degage Ministries. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals West Michigan Chapter, member of The Economic Club of Grand Rapids, a member of the St. Mark’s Episcopalian Breakfast Café Committee, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising & Public Relations from Grand Valley State University, and is trained in Restorative Practice and Ryan Dowd’s Niche Academy.

“It is a privilege to join the team at Wedgwood Christian Services, where we extend God’s love to youth, adults, and families through professional counseling and educational services,” Jevicks said. “I am passionate about advocating for children, teens, adults, and families of our community who are hurting. I care deeply about restoring hope and transforming lives so that each person can reach his/her full potential.”

As Chief Advancement Officer, Jevicks will oversee Wedgwood’s Advancement Department which is responsible for raising funds for Wedgwood’s Children’s Hope Annual Fund, donor relations and community engagement, and agency marketing efforts. She will also have an active role in strategic vision and planning for the organization.

“I am looking forward to sharing the impact that Wedgwood is making on so many lives, inspiring new partnerships, developing new pathways for engagement, and stepping out in faith to help move this organization forward,” she added.
