• Individual and family therapy can be arranged for life adjustment, substance use, and mental health problems. Sessions are typically once per week. Motivational enhancement counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and solution-focused techniques are employed to maximize strengths and to support on-going sobriety and healing.
• Wedgwood has several offices that can accommodate clients when outreach and in-home services are not available.
• Co-Occuring Disorders | Substance use struggles do not happen in a vacuum. Sometimes individuals use substances because of anxiety, depression, or trauma, or develop anxiety, depression, or other mental health struggles because of their substance use. Wedgwood’s believes in integrated treatment to address co-occuring disorders.
• Psychiatric Services | Psychiatric assessment and medication management are available for clients who meet medical and clinician criteria for service.
  Individuals are able to access psychiatric services and develop a plan to target multiple disorders with staff trained and equipped to serve the whole individual. (Note: funding limitations may occur)

• The goal of Wedgwood’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is to intervene and provide stabilization, education, and increase motivation for sobriety. This program is designed for adolescents and adults with moderate to significant substance use. IOP typically stabilizes 3 out of 4 clients, helping them avoid residential services.
• IOP provides the most intensive community-based treatment available, engaging clients in therapy multiple days per week.
• Wedgwood’s IOP is:
  • Intense, 2-3 days a week
  • Accepted by most insurance plans
  • Licensed by the State of Michigan
  • Provided in several counties

Recovery Coaching

• Peer coaching is a valuable asset to many individuals’ recovery. A recovery coach is an individual who has struggled before with a substance addiction and is in sustained recovery. They receive specialized training and are an active member of the treatment team.
• A Recovery Coach can assist with:
  • connection to a recovery community
  • access to physical health
  • housing
  • connection to spiritual support
  • resistance skills support
  • daily living management
  • leisure education

Case Management

• Case management is an essential part of substance use treatment. It’s important for individuals to have the tools needed for a healthy life. Case management services support individuals and families and connect them to the resources they need.
• Case Management can focus on:
  • Safe and sober housing
  • Food assistance
  • Vocational training
  • Medical needs
  • Financial services
  • Coordination with other community systems

• Our Family Engagement Therapy and Specialty Pregnancy Assistance programs are a part of continuum of services available to women to meet their unique needs. These programs have an emphasis on a woman’s emotional growth and the impact that relationships have on her wellbeing.
• Family Engagement Therapy (FET) | FET is designed to provide holistic care and hope for women with children and who are struggling with substance use and/or addiction. We begin with a thorough, family-focused assessment and then create a comprehensive family treatment plan with the goal of addressing all the family’s different areas of need. The FET team consists of a professionally trained therapist, case manager, and recovery coach.
• Specialty Pregnancy Assistance (SPA) | SPA was created to improve outcomes for families who are impacted by neonatal abstinence syndrome. This program works to eliminate barriers to maximize a woman’s chance for successful recovery. Staff work collaboratively to meet the needs of each client, orchestrating resources between multiple agencies to ensure clients receive the services they need.

• Women & Family Specialty Services are available in most counties, but specific programming may vary.
• Priority Populations: In Michigan, women who are pregnant, or women with parental rights to their children are placed on a priority list for admission to treatment services. These treatment services are provided through state and federal funds. Women who are enrolled in Medicaid are considered a priority for admission to treatment services and are immediately offered an appointment. Parents who are involved with Children’s Protective Services, or whose children are in foster care or placement with relatives, are also eligible for services.

• Residential Substance Use Services are available for adolescents who are experiencing severe symptoms from their use and need the stability of a residential facility. These services may be appropriate for teens who have tried intensive community-based therapy but have continued significant use of substances, along with exhibiting emotional and/or behavioral concerns.
