Wedgwood Named “Best and Brightest in Wellness”
Each year companies throughout Michigan compete to be named one of the “Best and Brightest in Wellness®.” Only companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative and thoughtful wellness practices can be bestowed with this honor. This year Wedgwood Christian Services was named one of “Best and Brightest in Wellness®.”
The 2020 winning companies were examined statistically for quantitative and qualitative data. Each survey was scored on a point system based upon criteria to benchmark and improve wellness program effectiveness. They include outcomes, analysis, tracking, participation & incentives, benefits and programs, leadership, employee input, culture, and environment.
“Throughout 2020, the Best and Brightest in Wellness winners have demonstrated leadership and forward-thinking as they pivoted their business and workforce through COVID-19. As the conversation and focus have shifted, our Best and Brightest in Wellness winning companies have also been a voice for important actions regarding Wellbeing and Race. It is in these unique times, the Best and Brightest in Wellness winners excel and share their knowledge with others,” said Jennifer Kluge, President, and CEO, Best and Brightest Programs.
Wedgwood is recognized for efforts that promote a culture of wellness, such as providing a state-of-the-art wellness center that is available to all staff members and residential clients and offering mental health services and support programs for employees. Through planning, implementation, and evaluation of efforts in employee wellness, Wedgwood is making the organization and the community a healthier place to live and work.
“We are proud to be recognized as the Best & Brightest for Wellness,” said Dan Gowdy, Wedgwood’s President/CEO. “This award represents Wedgwood’s commitment to healing body, heart, and soul.”
