Wedgwood Receives Perrigo Foundation Grant
Perrigo Foundation Awards Wedgwood Grant
Wedgwood Christian Services, a Grand Rapids-based non-profit, has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Perrigo Foundation.
This grant will help fund Wedgwood’s Transforming Services. These donor-funded services include Wellness and Activity Therapy, Employment Training, Prevention, Manasseh Project Outreach, and Chaplaincy and Young Life, which is voluntary. These services enable Wedgwood to offer holistic treatment and help youth and families heal from the trauma of abuse & neglect, exploitation, and substance use.
“We are thrilled to receive this grant from the Perrigo Foundation,” said Vivian TerMaat, Wedgwood’s Chief Advancement Officer. “It is only through generous community support that we are able to offer these vital programs and services that restore a sense of wholeness to kids and families who have endured immense trauma. The impact our Wellness and Activity Therapy, or our Employment Training Program can have on a teen who would have otherwise never learned proper nutrition, healthy coping skills, or how to interview for a job, is incredible. We are able to really set them up for success.”
The Perrigo Foundation’s mission is an extension of the company’s vision to make lives better in the communities they serve. Established in August 2000 as the philanthropic arm of Perrigo Company plc, the foundation supports initiatives that promote investments in healthcare, education, and support services.
