Wedgwood’s NextGen Board: Applications are Open!

 

Wedgwood Christian Services is accepting applications from rising community leaders to join Wedgwood’s NextGen Board.

The NextGen Board works to increase awareness of the organization within their circles of influence, make a positive impact in the lives of Wedgwood clients, while supporting agency events, and providing feedback on strategic planning for NextGen initiatives.

“The NextGen Board provides young professionals a chance to step up and make an impact on our community,” said NextGen Board Member Emily Quellet, COO at DeHaan Homes. “We become advocates not only for Wedgwood Christian Services, but for the children, teens, families and adults in Wedgwood’s care. Being a NextGen board member means engaging, educating and advocating for all of the services that Wedgwood has to offer. Being involved in Wedgwood’s mission means playing a part in transforming lives!”

Members of this board have the opportunity to volunteer their time, talents, professional expertise and resources; network socially and professionally with their peers; receive notable visibility in the community; and gain leadership skills.

“We are so grateful to have a dedicated group of young leaders in our community who are willing to offer their experience and insight,” said Kori Thompson, Advancement Officer at Wedgwood, and advisor to the NextGen Board. “It is an integral part of the life-transforming work that is being done at Wedgwood Christian Services.”

Members serve up to three, 3-year terms and attend quarterly lunch meetings, networking opportunities, and Wedgwood fundraising events. Board members can also serve on the NextGen Events Committee, or as liaison to the Executive Board’s Operations, Finance, and Advancement committees.
