Wedgwood’s Teen CHARGE is looking for Brand Reps
Wedgwood Christian Services is looking for energetic and positive teen leaders to be Brand Reps for Wedgwood’s Teen CHARGE!
WHO: West Michigan teens, ages 12-18 who want to use social media and their creativity to make a difference in their community.
WHAT: Serving as a Brand Rep for Wedgwood’s Teen CHARGE gives teens an opportunity to:
- Create and generate ideas for videos, blogs, and social media messaging.
- Discuss ideas and themes with a group of area teens
- Work independently to create social content like blogs and videos.
- Serve as positive role models for their community and be someone that other teens can look up to and respect.
- Be influencers who encourage teens to make healthy decisions when it comes to substances, relationships, and mental health
- Use Wedgwood’s Teen CHARGE platform to speak out about issues that matter to them
WHEN: This summer June 10 – August 25.
WHERE: Zoom – two virtual meetings a month
WHY: Being a Teen CHARGE Brand Rep gives teens a unique opportunity to be a part of something bigger than themselves and :
- Use their creativity to spread encouragement and have a positive impact on their peers and community.
- Connect with and work with students from other schools
- Earn volunteer hours for meetings and independent work on Teen CHARGE projects
HOW: Apply Online or email teencharge@wedgwood.org – Applications are due by June 8.
“Brand Reps for Wedgwood’s Teen CHARGE make a difference by using their influence to educate and encourage other teens through positive media messaging under the Wedgwood and Teen CHARGE brands,” said Gina Boscarino, Group Specialist for Wedgwood’s Positive Youth Development team and Teen CHARGE leader. “Teen CHARGE empowers these young leaders and gives them a platform to speak about issues that affect teens. The goal is to encourage teens to make healthy decisions, especially in the areas of substance abuse, mental health, and healthy relationships and Wedgwood’s mission to share hope by helping young people envision a positive future.”

ABOUT WEDGWOOD’S TEEN CHARGE | Wedgwood’s Teen CHARGE, a part of Wedgwood’s Positive Youth Development department, is a student leadership group that promotes positive messaging surrounding the overall health of a person, specifically in areas of substance use, mental health, and healthy relationships. A multi-faceted approach that includes public speaking presentations, video PSAs, blogs, and a strong social media presence is used to spread the messages. www.teencharge.org
